Nam O Bridge

Located at AT 927-842 in Quang Nam province, I Corps. Bridge carries Highway QL-1 over mouth of Song Cu De. The first U.S. manoever battalion (3rd Battalion 9th Marines) to arrive in Vietnam landed on the beach just south of this bridge on March 8, 1965. Their initial mission was protection of the U.S. Airbase at Da Nang.
