Hill 516

Located at XD 799-459 in Quang Tri province, I Corps. Bravo Company 1st Battalion 9th Marines made first contact here in a series of engagements that would become known as the "Hill Fights". The engagement on Hill 516 occurred on April 24, 1967 and resulted in 14 Marines killed, 18 wounded, and 2 missing in action.
